Jesse Glasgow

Team Academic’s founder and leader is Jesse Glasgow. Jesse is a geographer and entrepreneur who, through his travels, has identified the opportunity to help children. Jesse leads the day to day operations of Team Academic and leads geographic expeditions along with local guides and experts. Jesse is a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional, a Certified Project Management Professional and has 20 years of experience leading professional service teams. Jesse has a BS in Professional Geography from the University of North Alabama and has independently traveled to thirteen countries on four continents.


Linda Hertog

Linda is a Certified Public Account and serves as President and Treasurer for Team Academic. Linda is a Managing Director at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Linda has an BS in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Linda is passionate about serving those who are less fortunate as she has been and her efforts span from Honduras to Malawi Africa including many local initiatives.


Cliff Daniels

A native of the Atlanta Georgia Metro, Cliff is the Owner Operator of the Chick-fil-A in Stone Mountain Georgia. Cliff has a BS in Business Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.


Danelle Heimbach

Danelle is currently an educator in the Gwinnett County Public School system in the state of Georgia where she teaches students with visual impairments. Danelle has a MA in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy and a MA in Rehabilitation Counseling. She has also received her teaching certificate in special education.


Emily Kimani

Emily grew up in Kenya and currently resides in the United States where she is a geographic information system professional at the Georgia Department of Transportation. Emily has a BS in Geographic Information Science from Kennesaw State University.


Dr. Lisa Keys-Mathews

Dr. Keys-Mathews’ current career trajectory is in Enrollment Management at the University of North Alabama. She works with the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Academic Success Center. She brainstorms with their team and implements new initiatives that will enhance opportunities for UNA students. She also works to incorporate data-driven decision-making into our organization. Dr. Keys-Mathews has an on-going National Geographic Explorer project to help students “think like an explorer” and her 2018 TEDxWilson Park Talk was all about this. Her academic training is in geography and earth science. She has been a geographer since 1985 and in the GIS industry since 1987. As a faculty member at the University of North Alabama, she has had the opportunity to work with students who are preparing for their futures and their careers. Her geography research involved using geospatial technologies to analyze and discover spatial patterns in environmental disaster recovery. Her passion in academic work is to help teachers to incorporate geography into the K-12 curriculum. Her global research areas are Central America (Costa Rica), South America (Peru), China, and the United States.


Vijay Alagarraj

Vijay grew up in India and currently resides in the Atlanta, GA. Vijay has a masters degree in science from the University of Tennessee. Vijay is involved in local volunteer groups and passionate about helping others in need. Vijay currently serves as a board member and CEO at Inertia Systems.
